MCOTC
Mound City Obedience Training Club
is an organization that exists to promote
an appreciation of obedience training
and of dogs in general. The club holds an
obedience trial each spring and fall and
hosts several Show & Gos throughout
the year to help handlers prepare for
trials. (A Show & Go generally takes
place a week or two before an actual
trial. It consists of an informal simulation –
a sort of dry run – in which dog and
handler go through the entire program they’ll be performing in the show ring, with a club member acting as judge. It’s an invaluable tool to help identify any weaknesses that may still exist in your dog’s training as you prepare for the trial.)
MCOTC also offers a variety of classes – from puppy classes to rally training to advanced heeling clinics – throughout the year. All MCOTC classes are held at DSK and taught by MCOTC members.
