MEET NANCY CURTIS
The first voice on the phone when you call DSK, the first hand extended in welcome when you walk through the door, often belongs to Nancy Curtis. While Kim is in the ring, guiding and instructing, Nancy welcomes new arrivals and
immediately sets both dog and owner
at ease.
Nancy serves as Kim’s right-hand person
at DSK, and effortlessly – or so it seems –
keeps treats and training tools and
supplies in stock, helps run the agility
classes, teaches introductory agility,
obedience and rally classes on her own,
answers questions and returns
telephone calls by the bushel load,
and handles all the administrative
work. In short, Nancy juggles a
thousand tasks to keep DSK
running smoothly.
Nancy got her first dog when she was only four, and she quickly learned that there was nothing more fun in the whole wide world than teaching her dog to do tricks. The enjoyment she found then in helping dogs perform has grown over the years.
Nancy has had dogs her whole life. She currently has three – two Shelties, Luke and Cruiser, and a black Labrador Retriever, Ace, who belongs to her husband.
